Karaoke was not possible on Pocket PC until Kyuran software wrote their product, Kara-0-Pocket. This was requested by many users, myself included. It has taken off, and version 1 is now freeware, after a second version was released. Both programs will run any .kar files you find on the internet in Karaoke libraries. They are both simple to use, and effective. Once again, I suggest plugging your PDA into a stereo so the "keyboard-produced sounds" become heavy beats and funky riffs. Trust me: the speakers it derives from makes all the difference.
KARA-o-POCKET 2.1.2 The second karaoke release by Kyuran software. In this version there is a file-selection menu included. Instead of clicking on the karaoke file in Explorer, you can select your "Karaoke" folder within the program and have a list of your files. Kara has a smart feature of showing Kars as their full names. If you had WHITNEY_HOUSTON_EVERY_WOMAN, you will see it the entire name. YAY! How many times in the past have computer users been caught with Whitney_hou~1. God bless the ability of long file names! This version also contains a pause mid-song. The scrolling menu idea was great too.

The registered version of this program works as the shareware version, only a smarter look. Fancy animations and even a bar to tell you how long to wait until your cue.
As a devoted user of this program, I feel the new version has sufficiently been improved to be worth the $5US cost. Any devoted karaoke lover would enjoy this compared to karaoke DVDs on sale. Think of costs: Buy Kara-o-pocket for $5US, then download the thousands of free karaoke files... OR pay $30 per karaoke DVD in the stores, which contains way under 100 songs

Nos petites betes sont vraiment capablent de tout.. meme de nous faire chanter !! Ce soft d'une simplicité d'utilisation enfantine permet en effet la lecture des *.kar (fichiers midi avec du texte) à travers un explorateur original, et vous affiche les paroles (à suivre avec une coloration jaune) en vous jouant évidemment la musique. Sympas dans les fetes entre amis.. ou en famille

Everyone knows I'm kidding above, Kara-O looks like fun if you are into karaoke. I personally never got into the karaoke trend because I remember seeing couples in the local Karaoke bar getting up drunk singing Time After Time to each other and looking pretty darn ridiculous. Not to mention there was always some 50 year old dude who simply HAD to get up and sing Madonna's Like a Virgin....

Kara-O-Pocket ist eine Karaoke-Software für Pocket PCs, die es in zwei Ausführungen gibt.
Die Karaoke-Software Kara-O-Pocket ist in zwei Varianten erhältlich: Version 1 ist kostenlos erhältlich und man damit MOD-, S3M- und XM-Dateien verwenden. Will man auf KAR-Files nutzen (und davon gibt es Tausende im Web), so muss man zu Version 2 greifen und ein paar Dollar investieren. In beiden Fällen gibt es eine Menge Features und man kann eigene Songs erstellen, diese im Web bereitstellen oder von anderen downloaden.

Das macht auf (fast) jeder Party Laune: Karaoke!
Und mit einem PocketPC und Kara-O-Pocket v2 lässt das sich ganz einfach verwirklichen.
Man benötig nur ein paar *.KAR-Dateien, schließt den PocketPC an die Stereoanlage an und es kann losgehen. Die Bedienung ist denkbar einfach: Datei auswählen und kurz warten bis die Musik kommt. Im Internet findet sich eine riesige Auswahl an entsprechenden Liedern.
Natürlich kann man mit Kara-O-Pocket v2 auch nur für sich alleine Spaß haben
